Job summary

Schneider National is seeking intermodal truck drivers to haul automotive freight in containers secured on company-owned chassis. You will move freight for one customer between railyards and various destinations, with 100% no-touch and 90% drop-and-hook freight.

Routes include IL, IN, MI and OH, with paid orientation and benefits. Qualifications include a valid CDL-A; tanker and HazMat endorsements are strongly preferred.

Overview

Pay and bonus potential

• Mileage pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving.
• $12,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for experienced drivers.
• Paid orientation.
• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.
• Annual bonus: Earn up to 3% of annual gross pay each year.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Tanker endorsement and HazMat endorsement are strongly preferred.
• Live within 50 miles of Chicago, IL or Elwood, IL.
• Minimum 3 months of Class A driving experience.
