Job summary

Schneider National is seeking drivers for intermodal trucking in the Midwest. You will haul freight containers secured to company-owned chassis, with 90% no-touch freight and about 50% drop-and-hook. Routes include railyards across IA, IL, IN, MI and WI, requiring reliable, safety‑driven operation.

Compensation includes mileage and load pay, plus hourly pay on duty. Sign-on bonus and paid orientation add to the package, with 6 months of PTO and annual holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• HazMat and Tanker endorsements strongly preferred.
• Live within 100 miles of Chicago, IL; Green Bay, WI or Joliet, IL.

Pay and bonus potential

• Mileage pay and load pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving.
• Longevity bonus: Earn 3% of annual gross pay each year.
• $12,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for experienced drivers.
• Paid orientation.
• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.
