Job summary

Schneider National is seeking an Intermodal Driver to haul freight containers on company-owned chassis. This role features 100% no-touch freight, with 50% drop-and-hook, and routes focused around Chicago rail yards within 125 miles of the city.

Hourly pay and load pay are included, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 months for experienced drivers, paid orientation, health/dental/vision coverage, a 401(k) match, PTO after six months, and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with tanker and HazMat endorsements preferred.
• Live within 50 miles of Chicago, IL or Elwood, IL.
• Minimum 3 months of Class A driving experience.

Pay and bonus potential

• Hourly pay and load pay.
• Longevity bonus: Earn 3% of annual gross pay each year.
• $5,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for experienced drivers.
• Paid orientation.
• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Tanker endorsement and HazMat endorsement are strongly preferred.
• Live within 50 miles of Chicago, IL or Elwood, IL.
• Minimum 3 months of Class A driving experience.
