Job summary

Republic Services in Houston seeks a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste to generator sites, operating Class A tractors and a variety of trailers.

You will perform LTL pickups, maintain logs and manifests, and ensure DOT HazMat compliance with proper placarding and load securement. The role emphasizes safety, customer interaction, and routine inspections.

Qualifications

• A valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• MVR must meet company standards.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training on hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, tractor-trailers and box trucks.
• Perform LTL pickups and waste transports to generator sites.
• Maintain driver documents: logs, quarterly permit book, trip reports, waste manifests.
• Comply with DOT HazMat regulations: placarding, load securement, labeling.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and use company apps.
• Interact with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Participate in Site Safety program and training.
