Job summary

CalPortland is seeking a Haul Dump Driver responsible for transporting aggregate and asphalt products to plants and job sites in a safe manner.

The role requires a High school diploma or GED and a California Class A CDL with Doubles endorsement, plus a clean driving record. Overtime, weekend work, and variable hours may be required. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Must have a safe driving record (DMV H-6 printout required).
• California Commercial Class A with Doubles Endorsement is required.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is mandatory.
• No more than two moving violations in 24 months; no serious violations in 36 months.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Load material at asphalt or aggregate plant and transport to other plants or job sites.
• Tarp load when needed to protect product being hauled.
• Keep truck clean; wash trailers as needed.
• Report maintenance or adjustments required; maintain good housekeeping.
• Travel to various work locations based on demand; overtime, nights may be required.
