Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Grocery Driver to deliver fresh and frozen groceries to supermarkets and distribution centers across the Northeast, with a home daily schedule and a $10,000 bonus. The role offers about $95,000 annually and includes day-time starts and occasional hotel-paid layovers.

This position drives 46- to 53-foot reefers, averaging ~31 stops weekly. Expect 12–14 hour shifts, with possible backhauls and hotel stays when needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to unload frozen products using a pallet jack and liftgate.
• NYC delivery experience in all five boroughs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fresh and frozen groceries using reefer trailers.
• Serve NYC boroughs, Long Island, New Jersey, and Boston areas.
• Complete ~31 stops per week and handle loads with pallet jack.
• Unload 1–3 pallets per stop; some curbside or dock deliveries.
• Occasional hotel-paid layovers and hotel accommodations provided.
