Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Grocery Driver to earn about $95,000 per year delivering fresh and frozen groceries to supermarkets and distribution centers across the Northeast. This home-daily position features a $10,000 bonus, daytime start times, and occasional hotel-paid layovers.

Typical routes include NYC, Long Island, New Jersey, and Boston with ~31 stops weekly; shifts run roughly 12–14 hours with Sunday and a weekday off. Hotel stays may be provided during layovers.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum 3 months verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• Clean driving record required.
• At least 3 months NYC delivery experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills mandatory.
• Reliable personal transportation to and from work.
• No SAP drivers allowed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fresh and frozen groceries using 46-, 48-, 51-, and 53-foot reefers.
• Cover deliveries to NYC boroughs, Long Island, New Jersey, and Boston.
• Complete ~31 stops per week with one long load daily.
• Unload 1–3 pallets per stop with pallet jack and liftgate.
• Possibly backhaul to distribution center; pick up return product.
• Occasional layovers; hotel accommodations provided.
• Support other local accounts as needed.
