Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Grocery Driver to service a dedicated local grocery account with daily home time. The role offers strong earning potential, including a $10,000 bonus and an average annual pay around $95,000.

Drivers will deliver fresh and frozen groceries using 46', 48', 51', or 53' reefer trailers to supermarkets and distribution centers across NJ, CT, MA, VT, RI and NH, with typical layovers hotel-provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months of truck driving experience.
• Personal transportation to and from work daily.
• Clean driving record.
• DOT Medical Card.
• No SAP Drivers.
• Good customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fresh and frozen groceries to supermarkets and distribution centers.
• Multistop deliveries to local grocery stores with an average of 31 stops per week.
• Handle driver-assist unloading of 1–3 pallets per stop using a pallet jack.
• Backhaul returns to the distribution center as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and strong customer service with account staff.
• Overnight layovers may occur with hotel provided by the account.
