FedEx Freight is seeking a professional Driver to pick up and deliver freight between Service Centers and customers in Nevada. Starting pay is $36.97 per hour with eligible linehaul pay.

Responsibilities include operating tractor-trailers, performing safety inspections, handling freight with powered equipment, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. The role requires a CDL A with hazmat and appropriate endorsements, a valid MVR, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with double/triple endorsements and HazMat; automatic transmission allowed.
• One year experience in last three years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR per hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT 391 FMC regs requirements.
• LCV operation in listed states including NV; meet LCV standards.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Operate tractor-trailer combination, including doubles/triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and dollies.
• Handle freight with forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, and rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Comply with hazardous material regulations.
• Collect payments for freight charges when required.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or equipment issues.
• Communicate with customers to determine pick-up or delivery needs and solicit additional business.
• Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
• Suggest additional business leads to sales team.
• May perform chaining of vehicle tires and other duties as needed.
• May perform job duties of road driver or dock employee as required.
