Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking CDL-A delivery drivers in Highland Park, NJ. The role requires driving tractor/trailer on intrastate and interstate routes, unloading at customer sites, and maintaining DOT-compliant logs.

You will engage professionally with customers, ensure on-time deliveries, and uphold safety standards. Benefits include Day 1 health, stock purchase plan, 401K matching, education assistance, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to lift and handle freight up to 90 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks, pre/post trip inspections per DOT rules.
• Complies with DOT regulations and company driving policies.
• Reports hazards; inspects and secures freight.
• Checks invoices and complete required freight paperwork.
• Drives and delivers orders according to schedule; unloads as required.
• Obtains customer signatures and processes payments when needed.
• Loads returns, secures trailer, and keeps equipment and dock area clean.
• Maintains daily hours-of-service logs as required.
