Job summary

Asplundh Careers is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate heavy equipment and join a nationwide utility contractor. The role requires a Class A CDL and will involve multi-state travel, equipment maintenance, and vegetation management tasks on utility ROWs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to identify tree and shrub species.
• Familiar with electrical hazards.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, skid steers, excavators, loaders, dump trucks, mowers and stump grinders.
• Transport equipment to multi-state job locations.
• Install and remove gates, fences, barb wire.
• Use a chainsaw to cut brush, logs and large tree stumps.
• Apply herbicide in right-of-way following safety procedures.
• Maintain truck and equipment in good mechanical order.
