CJ Hughes Construction in Huntington, WV is seeking a CDL Driver – Gas Distribution to join a crew. The role involves roughly 20% CDL driving and 80% laborer duties, with outdoor construction work in all weather conditions.

This is a physically demanding position that supports gas distribution pipeline construction, maintenance, and repair. The driver will operate CDL‑required vehicles, haul materials, and assist the crew with labor tasks such as digging and site prep.

Responsibilities

• Operate CDL‑required vehicles including dump trucks, trailers and equipment haulers over 26,000 lbs.
• Haul equipment, pipe, materials, and debris to and from job sites.
• Load, unload, and secure materials using chains, straps, tarps, and other tie‑down methods.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required documentation.
• Maintain driver logs when required; assist crew with labor duties including digging and shoveling.
• Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs; work in varied weather conditions and outdoor settings.
