Job summary

Performance Foodservice is hiring an entry level Driver Trainee to learn tractor trailer and straight truck routes, including local, OTR, shuttle, and overnight deliveries. You will perform safety checks, assist trainers, and complete all required paperwork while delivering and unloading goods for customers.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid CDL A license, 21+ age, and the ability to pass DOT and drug tests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid CDL A license required.
• Clean MVR and ability to pass drug test.

Responsibilities

• Attends and completes driver trainee or dock-to-driver training.
• Rides with trainer and assists with deliveries.
• Perform safety checks and comply with DOT regulations.
• Drive and deliver customer orders on schedule and documents.
• Unload, verify, and collect signatures and payments as needed.
• Maintain equipment security and complete daily logs.
