Job summary

Performance Foodservice is hiring an entry-level Driver Trainee to learn local and intrastate delivery routes. This role offers hands-on training, competitive pay, and benefits starting from Day 1 as you progress toward a CDL-driven position.

You will complete a structured training program, ride with a driver trainer, and progressively take on deliveries while maintaining DOT safety standards. A valid CDL A, DOT Health Card, and a clean MVR are required, with a minimum age of 21.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid CDL A license with DOT Health Card.
• Must be 21 years old and pass DOT/road tests.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training as required.
• Ride with driver trainer and assist deliveries.
• Perform safety checks and inspections per DOT regulations.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Drive to deliver orders on predetermined routes and unload.
• Verify delivery, obtain signatures, and handle payments when required.
• Keep vehicle clean and secure; complete daily logs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
