Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking an entry level Driver Trainee to learn operating a tractor trailer or straight truck on local routes, delivering food and related products to customers while complying with DOT regulations.

You will train with a driver trainer, perform safety checks, complete required paperwork, and begin early morning routes with no overnights. Reserve, LA location with opportunities for growth and development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• External Entry Level Hire: CDL A license required (0-6 months if applicable).
• Must meet DOT health card requirements.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete the Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program as required.
• Assist trainer with deliveries and follow instructions provided by the driver trainer.
• Perform DOT pre/post trip safety checks and inspect tractor/trailer as required.
• Drive to deliver customer orders according to route schedule and verify deliveries with customers.
