Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking an entry-level Driver Trainee in Manassas, VA, with CDL A eligibility and a commitment to safety. You will learn to operate tractor/trailer equipment, perform required safety inspections, and support on local routes with top-notch customer service.

You will train in a structured program, work with a driver trainer, and progress toward delivering goods to various customer sites while maintaining compliance with DOT rules and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent is required.
• External Entry Level Hire: 0-6 months experience with a CDL A.
• Must be 21 years of age and able to obtain CDL A.
• Must pass post offer drug test and road test.
• Attains or has valid DOT Health Card.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program as required.
• Assist driver trainer with deliveries and follow directions.
• Perform safety checks, inspections, and report safety issues.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Drive to deliver orders on predetermined routes and unload at customer sites.
• Verify deliveries, collect signatures, and handle paperwork correctly.
