Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking an entry level Driver Trainee to learn tractor-trailer or straight truck routes, including local, overnight, and potentially interstate work. You will train under a driver trainer, complete required safety checks, and gain experience delivering food products while complying with DOT regulations.

Start with 11-week training at $22/hour, transitioning to routes with potential earnings of $75,000–$100,000 after training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain CDL permit and DOT health card.
• Clean driving record (MVR) over past 3 years.
• Must be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program.
• Assist driver trainer with deliveries and follow instructions.
• Perform pre/post trip safety checks and DOT inspections.
• Deliver and unload customer orders on schedule; ensure proper paperwork.
