Job summary

Performance Food Group in Omaha, NE, is hiring an entry level Driver Trainee to learn tractor-trailer and straight truck routes, including local, overnight, and OTR assignments. You will train and progress toward delivering and unloading food products following DOT regulations and company policies.

During the 11-week training, you earn $22.00 per hour, with potential earnings of $75,000 to $100,000 after training as you advance to full driver responsibilities, while benefiting from Day 1 health

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 21 years of age.
• Valid CDL A for external hires or ability to attain one.
• Clean MVR past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and road test.
• Attains or has valid DOT Health Card.

Responsibilities

• Attends and completes PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program as required.
• Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule.
• Unload products from the trailer, verify delivery with customer and obtain signatures.
• Inspect tractor and trailer per DOT regulations and report safety issues.
• Complete daily hours-of-service records and maintain paperwork.
