Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Trainee Component Driver Teammate in the Windsor, WI area. You will learn to maneuver, inspect, and deliver products while following safety regulations and company policies.

Starting pay includes $18.00 per hour during training, transitioning to $21.00 per hour after training, with comprehensive benefits from day one, including medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess a Class A CDL.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Meet eligibility requirements in the McLane Transfer and Promotion Policy.
• Ability and willingness to load/unload and/or deliver all products ordered by McLane customers.
• Read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.
• Perform mathematical calculations to verify quantities of product.
• Communicate with customers, management, and teammates.
• Safely drive a tractor-trailer and operate related devices.
• Reading, writing, and understanding English at a functional level.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck safely per regulations and policies.
• Inspect tractor-trailer equipment and submit DOT inspection report.
• Operate DDH and document receipts and temperatures.
• Ride/learn with Driver Trainer to understand driving regulations and maneuvering.
• Maintain driver logs according to DOT regulations.
• Assist in unloading trailer and delivering product to customers.
• Provide excellent customer service including on-time delivery and credits.
