Job summary

NIS EXPRESS in Merced, CA is seeking CDL-A drivers who are new to the road to train on the job. You will earn weekly pay, start with training pay, and move to full solo dispatches as you’re signed off.

The work covers 11 western states with home time every two weeks, some winter driving, and pays including stop pay and performance bonuses. The package includes health, dental, and vision insurance after 30 days, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and $300 orientation pay.

Qualifications

• Clean, verifiable driving record with no major violations.
• Must hold a valid Class A CDL and be 21+ years old.
• Able to communicate clearly and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Train on the road for new CDL holders and progress to solo dispatch.
• Operate routes across 11 western states with up to 2,100 miles weekly.

Job description

Merced drivers: new CDL holders train on the road, get paid every week, and stay in the West.

Pay First

• Average weekly earnings of $1,000 to $1,300
• Solo guarantee: $1,000 a week for 3 months after first solo dispatch
• Extra performance pay, up to 6 cents per mile
• $15 for each stop

Training for New CDL Holders

• $650 weekly training pay
• Trainer rides with you on live freight
• Full solo pay once you are signed off

Where You Run

• 11 western states, short trips
• About 1,700 to 2,100 miles weekly
• Home every 2 weeks, some winter driving

Requirements

• Class A CDL, 21 or older
• Brand new drivers: proof of 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the past 5 years
• 2 moving violations or fewer in 2 years, no major preventable accidents in 5 years
• Clean DUI/DWI history for 5 to 10 years, based on when you got your CDL
• Able to pass a DOT physical plus hair and urine drug testing
