Job summary

American Driver is seeking CDL-A drivers for over-the-road positions. Enjoy substantial weekly pay, modern equipment, and a clear progression from paid training to solo driving. New CDL-A holders are welcome to apply and begin a paid 4–6 week training with guaranteed weekly pay and transition to full solo driver pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Safe driving record.
• Six months of recent OTR experience or graduation from an accredited CDL program.
• Ability to pass a background screening and pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Drive dry van freight on primary lanes east of I-35.
• Maintain safe, compliant operations and complete required paperwork.
• Attend orientation and complete training requirements.
• Report to recruiters promptly after applying.

Compensation

• Average weekly earnings: $1,300–$1,550
• Top performers can earn $1,800+ per week
• Typical weekly mileage ranges from 2,200 to 2,800 miles
• Reliable 12 days on the road followed by 2 days at home

Equipment & Driver Perks

• Assigned truck—no sharing with other drivers
• 2022 or newer automatic Kenworth and Freightliner tractors
• Trucks equipped with APUs for greater comfort
• Passenger and pet policy available from your first day

Freight Information

• Dry van freight
• No-touch loads
• Approximately 70% drop-and-hook freight
• Remaining freight consists of live loading and unloading
• Primary lanes east of Interstate 35

Paid CDL Graduate Training

New CDL-A holders are welcome to apply.

Our paid over-the-road training program includes:

• 4 to 6 weeks with an experienced trainer
• Guaranteed weekly training pay
• Immediate transition to full solo driver pay after successful completion
• Applicants must have completed at least 120 hours at an accredited CDL training school
