Job summary

American Driver is hiring full-time W2 CDL-A drivers for Openings across our OTR, regional, and dedicated fleets. Operations run primarily east of I-35. New and limited-experience drivers may qualify for our paid training program.

Drivers operate a Class A tractor-trailer, pick up and deliver dry van freight on time, maintain logs, and perform inspections. Home time weekly or every two weeks depending on fleet, with orientation included.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL or completion of 120 CDL school hours.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A tractor-trailer in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Pickup and deliver dry van freight on time.
• Maintain ELD logs and trip reports.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers.

PAY AND SCHEDULE

• Weekly gross: $1,400 – $1,800 depending on experience and route
• Weekly direct deposit
• Home time weekly or every two weeks based on fleet
• Paid orientation included

EQUIPMENT

• Assigned 2024 or 2025 Freightliner or Kenworth tractor

THE FREIGHT

• Primarily no-touch dry van
• 70% drop-and-hook
• Customers throughout the Eastern U.S.

PAID TRAINING PROGRAM

Drivers who have completed a minimum of 120 hours at an accredited CDL school may qualify for our 3 to 5 week paid training program.

T raining covers tractor-trailer operation, ELD compliance, trip reporting, pre/post-trip inspections, and company procedures. Solo assignment follows supervised evaluation.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
