Contract Lumber, Inc. in Blackstone, Virginia is seeking a CDL A driver to load, deliver, and secure lumber shipments. This full‑time role offers Mon–Fri schedule, 1st shift, 40 hours per week with overtime as needed and a pay range of $24–$27 per hour based on experience.

You’ll perform DOT vehicle inspections, maintain paperwork, and communicate effectively with customers and the team while upholding safety and reliability in a fast-paced lumber yard environment.

Qualifications

• CDL A license required.
• Ability to learn a Piggyback or Princeton forklift.
• Driving record must meet DOT regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Hardworking, responsible, and motivated.

Responsibilities

• Load, secure, and deliver material.
• Perform inspections of delivery vehicles per DOT requirements.
• Maintain all required paperwork.
• Check loads for accuracy.
• Ensure all loads are safely secured before leaving the yard or job site.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with employees, management, and customers.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented work attitude.
