Job summary

Schneider National in Green Bay, WI is seeking an experienced Driver Instructor to coach, mentor and onboard new drivers, delivering hands-on training in the classroom and in the truck. You will teach safety, hours of service, trip-planning and the use of Schneider’s electronic tablets and workflow system, providing feedback and coaching to improve performance.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL class A
• DOT physical card
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience
• Live within 50 miles of Green Bay, WI

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor and onboard new drivers
• Perform hands-on training in the classroom and in the truck
• Train drivers on safety, hours of service, trip-planning and policies
• Act as a safety advocate and driver retention ambassador
• Teach driving skills per Schneider guidelines
• Show drivers how to use Schneider’s tablets and workflow system
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement
• Evaluate and update on candidates not meeting expectations
• Prepare drivers for a safe and rewarding career at Schneider
