Job summary

Schneider National is seeking an instructor to coach and mentor driver associates in training. You will teach driving skills in classrooms and trucks, using Schneider's tablets and workflow systems.

Responsibilities include evaluating candidates, providing feedback, ensuring DOT compliance and safety training, and supporting driver retention initiatives. Based near Atlanta, GA, you may also assist with occasional freight hauling as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching and mentoring driver trainees.
• Knowledge of Schneider policies and procedures.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and computer-based training systems.

Responsibilities

• Teach driving skills and techniques following Schneider Training Academy guidelines.
• Lead on-the-job and in-truck training using tablet and workflow system.
• Provide feedback and evaluate candidates against timelines.
• Maintain safety, hours of service and trip planning training.
• Support driver safety and retention initiatives.
• Assist with training new drivers and onboarding activities.
