Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a CDL-A delivery driver for early morning routes in the Tampa area. Drivers will operate tractor trailers and straight trucks, delivering food and related products to customers while adhering to DOT regulations and company safety standards.

The role offers home daily schedules, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career growth within a respected food distribution company. A clean MVR, drug screen, and background check are prerequisites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Clean MVR in past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.
• Ability to lift 10-35 lbs and up to 60-90 lbs with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor trailer or straight truck per DOT regulations and company safety standards.
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and report safety issues or needed repairs.
• Deliver and unload products to customers on schedule and obtain signatures as required.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and maintain daily hours-of-service records.
