Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Support CDL Driver to fill in on open routes across our Minnesota delivery network, maintaining safety, service and on-time performance.

The role requires a valid CDL Class A (or completion of our company paid CDL training), ability to lift, and 21+ years age. Starting wage is $24.00–$28.00 per hour with overtime, and benefits including health, dental and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a manual transmission.
• Must possess or obtain a doubles/triples endorsement.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs
• Assist drivers with daily morning duties such as sorting freight, loading trucks and other duties as needed
• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle
• Collect payments as needed
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle
• Participate in weekly meetings and communicate goals and assignments
• Travel may be required
• Perform other required duties as assigned
