Job summary

NIS EXPRESS in Dallas, TX is seeking CDL-A drivers for a temp-controlled reefer account. Whether new to trucking or experienced, the program includes hands-on mentoring and a path to regular pay.

During training you’ll earn $850/week; once cleared to run solo you’ll be on the regular pay scale of $1,400–$1,600/week, with guaranteed pay for the first 3 months. Typical lanes run TX to TN/IL/GA and PA to VA, about 1,800–2,000 miles weekly.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card.
• 21 years or older.
• Pass a hair and urine drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Train one-on-one with a mentor.
• Operate temp-controlled reefer trucks on designated lanes.
• Maintain 1,800–2,000 miles per week with live load/unload and drop & hook.

If you're new to trucking:

• Train one-on-one with a mentor


• Earn $850/week while you learn


• Move straight onto the regular pay scale once you're cleared to run solo


• Just need 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school to start

If you've got 6+ months of solo experience:

• Start on the full pay scale from day one


• No trainee period required

Pay

• Average weekly pay: $1,400 -$1,600/week as you build time on the account


• Guaranteed pay for your first 3 months once you go solo


• $25 stop pay, plus $25 for an extra stop


• Performance bonus on top

The Freight

• Temp-controlled reefer


• Set lanes: TX to TN, TX to IL, TX to GA, and PA to VA


• Around 1,800 to 2,000 miles a week


• Mix of live load, live unload, preload, and drop and hook

Home Time

• Every 8 to 10 days depending on your route


• Day and night dispatch, weekends typically included

To Qualify

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card, 21 or older


• Clean background check


• Pass a hair and urine drug screen
