Job summary

American Driver is seeking drivers to haul reefer freight across a six-state region in the western U.S. You will start with trainee pay during training and graduate to the full solo mileage rate after training, with a guaranteed pay period and monthly performance bonuses.

The role features home time every two weeks, regional routes, and weekend work as needed. New CDL-A holders are welcome, and a clean MVR with a current DOT card is required.

Qualifications

• New CDL-A holders welcome, or 6+ months of verifiable solo experience.
• Team drivers and owner operators welcome.
• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card, 21 years or older.
• Clean MVR and background check.
• Must pass hair and urine drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Drive reefer freight on regional routes across CA, ID, NV, OR, UT, and WA.
• No load or unload; drivers not touching freight.
• Home every two weeks; day/night dispatch.
• Weekend work may be required depending on staffing.

Home every two weeks, running reefer freight across six western states, with monthly performance bonuses on top of your regular pay.

New to Trucking? Here's Exactly What to Expect

• Trainee pay of $850 per week during training
• Paid one-on-one OTR training with an experienced mentor
• Immediate upgrade to full solo mileage rate once training is complete
• Minimum of 120 hours from an accredited CDL school required to start

Pay

• Average weekly earnings of $1,200 to $1,500
• Starting mileage pay of $0.51 cpm
• Guaranteed pay for your first 3 months after your first solo dispatch
• Monthly performance bonus
• $15 stop pay

Route & Freight

• Reefer trailers
• Regional routes across CA, ID, NV, OR, UT, and WA
• 1,900 to 2,100 miles weekly
• No load or unload, drivers are not responsible for touching freight

Home Time & Schedule

• Home every two weeks
• Day and night dispatch
• Weekend work expected, some holiday work depending on staffing needs
