Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a CDL-A driver based out of Porter, IN, delivering food and related products to customers on established routes. You will ensure timely deliveries, perform safety inspections, and maintain accurate logs while representing the company professionally.

You’ll be part of a team with a focus on safety, reliability, and excellent customer service. A $10,000 sign-on bonus, uniforms, and boot allowance are offered, with competitive benefits starting Day 1.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of commercial driving experience.
• Must hold a valid CDL-A license.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years and DOT health card requirements.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors and co-workers.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Drive tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate, interstate and overnight routes.
• Deliver and unload food products on schedule and secure freight.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and maintain hours-of-service logs.
• Secure equipment and conduct routine housekeeping in the cab and dock area.
