Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a CDL Class A Driver for home-daily local routes in The Dalles, OR. You will operate a 26-foot box truck (and occasionally a tractor) to ensure safe, on-time deliveries and return home daily.

We offer comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and overtime pay with a $1.50/hr shift premium. Minimum 6 months CDL experience, 21+ years old, valid CDL A and clean MVR required.

• 6 months of CDL experience operating the required equipment within the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid CDL A license with an acceptable MVR.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive 26-foot box trucks and tractor trailers as assigned on local routes.
• Touch freight with pallet jacks to load and unload pallets.
• Drive safely, follow all safety policies, and perform routine vehicle inspections.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries.

About The Role

As a CDL Driver, you’ll not only drive our equipment, but you’ll also drive our success! You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, on-time delivery of goods for our customers, running local routes that get you home daily. Most days you will operate a 26-foot box truck but will at times be required to operate a tractor pulling up to 53-foot trailers.

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

• Drive 26-foot box trucks and tractor trailers in and around the site or on public roads
• Touch freight position using pallet jacks to load and unload pallets
• Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices
• Perform routine inspections
• Communicate effectively with dispatch

What You’ll Need To Succeed At GXO

At a minimum you’ll need:

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) experience operating the same type of equipment needed for this position, or larger, in the last 3 years
• Must be at least 21years old
• A current valid CDL A driver’s license and an acceptable MVR

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
