Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is hiring a CDL Driver Class A to join our team in Forest City, NC. This home-daily role offers Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm and local routes designed to keep you close to home.

You’ll drive a 53-foot tractor-trailer, perform pre-trip inspections, and communicate with dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries for customers. We provide full benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months CDL experience with the same equipment in the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 23 years old.
• Current valid CDL A license and an acceptable MVR over the past 3 years.

Pay rates starting at $30.50 per hour plus overtime pay available after 40 worked hours per week.

About the role

As a CDL Driver, you’ll not only drive our equipment, but you’ll also drive our success! You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, on-time delivery of goods for our customers, running local routes that get you home daily.

What you’ll do on a typical day

What you’ll need to succeed at GXO

At a minimum you’ll need:

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) experience operating the same type of equipment needed for this position, or larger, in the last 3 years
• Must be at least 23 years old
• A current valid CDL A driver’s license and an acceptable MVR over the past 3 years

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
