Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a CDL Driver Class A to support local routes and deliver goods with home daily schedules. You will operate a 53-foot tractor trailer, perform inspections, and coordinate with dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries.

Starting pay is $31.25 per hour with overtime after 40 hours, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Ideal candidates have 6 months CDL experience and a minimum age of 23, with a Monday–Friday 7:00am–4:00pm shift in the Sandston, VA area.

Qualifications

• CDL A license with at least 6 months of experience operating the same equipment in the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 23 years old.
• Valid CDL A license with acceptable MVR in past 3 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 53-foot tractor trailer on local routes.
• Touch freight as needed and ensure safe handling of shipments.
• Drive safely and follow all safety policies.
• Perform routine pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Coordinate with dispatch to maintain on-time deliveries.

About The Role

As a CDL Driver, you’ll not only drive our equipment, but you’ll also drive our success! You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, on‑time delivery of goods for our customers, running local routes that get you home daily.

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

• Drive a 53-foot tractor trailer in and around the site or on public roads


• Touch freight position


• Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices


• Perform routine inspections


• Communicate effectively with dispatch

What You’ll Need To Succeed At GXO

At a minimum you’ll need:

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) experience operating the same type of equipment needed for this position, or larger, in the last 3 years


• Must be at least 23 years old


• A current valid CDL A driver’s license and an acceptable MVR over the past 3 years

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
