Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Milton, West Virginia is hiring a CDL A Delivery Driver. This role focuses on building relationships with customers while delivering food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you are home every day with a guaranteed weekly minimum and paid for every mile, stop, and case delivered.

Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply. Expect to unload up to 100 lbs, work with a ramp and two-wheeler, and start early from 3–5 AM.

Qualifications

• CDL A required or newly licensed drivers encouraged to apply.
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds.
• Strong reading, writing and communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to customers including restaurants, schools and hospitals.
• Unload cases up to 100 lbs using ramp and two-wheeler.
• Maintain safe driving practices and accurate paperwork and route information.

CDL A Delivery Driver

Location : Milton, West Virginia

In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you'll be home every day. You'll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you'll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule

Monday-Friday. Start time 3 AM - 5 AM until work until the route is finished

Pay

Drivers average $70,000-100,000 K /year

Guaranteed minimum of $1100 /week

Daily base pay, plus component pay

Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered

Does this look like you?

• At least 21 years of age


• Class A CDL License at hire


• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds


• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift


• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)


• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check


• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards

You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
