Job summary

Imperial Dade in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Trailer Driver/Class A Delivery Driver to manage a local/one-regional route schedule. You will deliver to customer locations, unload with pallet jack and lift gate, and provide exceptional service.

Operational hours are Monday—Friday, 6:00am–3:00pm or until the route is finished; the role requires DOT medical clearance, a clean driving record, and a year of CDL-A and route-delivery experience.

Qualifications

• Requires CDL A and DOT medical clearance.
• Must have a valid CDL A and a clean driving record.
• Experience delivering by route with a commercial vehicle.
• Experience loading/unloading with pallet jack and hand truck.
• Lift gate operation experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 53’ truck or smaller.
• Load and unload cargo via hand, manual pallet jack, and lift gate.
• Properly track and document activity log.
• Report any issues or incidents to dispatch.
• Inspect the truck before and after trips.
• Communicate with customers with a positive, outgoing attitude.

The Trailer Driver/Class A Delivery Driver will be responsible for a route of daily stops. The deliveries require unloading the product via hand, pallet jack, and dolly, and delivering the merchandise to the customer-designated location. The essential aspects of this position are delivering and providing exceptional customer service.

The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 6:00am to 3:00pm, or until the daily route is completed.

This position is mainly local; however, there is one regional route per week where the driver would be out for only one night.

You will:

• Safely operate a 53’ truck or smaller
• Load and unload cargo via hand, manual pallet jack, and lift gate
• Properly track and document activity log
• Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
• Inspect the truck before and after trips
• Communicate with customers with a positive, outgoing attitude

You have:

• A valid commercial driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a DOT Medical Exam
• A good driving record
• 1 year of recent CDL A experience
• 1 year of route delivery experience
• 1 year of manual pallet jack and hand truck experience
• Ability to handle a physical workload (lift 50+ pounds comfortably and unassisted)
• Lift gate experience
• Strong work ethic
