Job summary

Imperial Dade is hiring for a Trailer Driver/Class A Delivery Driver in Jersey City, NJ. This role involves delivering to customer sites, unloading using hand tools and pallet jacks, and maintaining accurate logs.

The position runs Monday through Friday starting at 5:00am, with a pay rate of $31.25 per hour. Responsibilities include safe operation of the vehicle, proper loading/unloading, incident reporting, truck inspections, and positive customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license is required.
• Must be able to pass a DOT Medical Exam.
• 1 year of recent CDL A experience.
• 1 year of route delivery experience.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate a pallet jack/hand truck.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 53’ truck or smaller.
• Load and unload cargo via hand, pallet jack, and lift gate.
• Track and document activity logs accurately.
• Report issues or incidents to dispatch promptly.
• Inspect the truck before and after trips.
• Communicate with customers professionally and build positive relationships.

The Trailer Driver/Class A Delivery Driver will be responsible for a route 20-25 of daily stops. The deliveries require unloading the product via hand, pallet jack, and dolly, and delivering the merchandise to the customer-designated location. The essential aspects of this position are delivering and providing exceptional customer service.

The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 5:00am-finish. The pay rate is $31.25/h

You will:

• Safely operate a 53’ truck or smaller
• Load and unload cargo via hand, manual pallet jack, and lift gate
• Properly track and document activity log
• Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
• Inspect the truck before and after trips
• Communicate with customers with a positive, outgoing attitude

You have:

• A valid commercial driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a DOT Medical Exam
• A good driving record
• 1 year of recent CDL A experience
• 1 year of route delivery experience
• 1 year of manual pallet jack and hand truck experience
• Ability to handle a physical workload (lift 50+ pounds comfortably and unassisted)
• Lift gate experience
• Strong work ethic
