Job summary

McLane Company, Inc in Houston, TX is seeking CDL-A Delivery Drivers to move products for America's brands. We offer competitive pay, strong client relationships, and home daily routes with 3rd shift options and route bidding after six months.

Responsibilities include inspecting tractors and bills, adhering to DOT rules, delivering to customer sites, and maintaining logs. Requirements: 21+, CDL-A, 1 year or 50,000 miles driving, English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer experience.
• Must read, write and understand English at required level.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects and submit DOT report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination and follow DOT regulations.
• Maintain driver log according to regulations.
• Unload trailer and deliver to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $75,000 to $85,000.

What you'll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
