Job summary

McLane Company is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Truck Driver to move products to customers nationwide. You will drive, inspect, log deliveries, and unload shipments while adhering to DOT regulations. This role offers competitive pay, a sign-on bonus up to $10,000, and home daily opportunities with varying routes.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A).
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Benefits you can count on:

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $78,000 to $95,000.
• Sign-on bonus: Up to $10,000 depending on experience.
• Pay Structure: Hourly, Miles, Stops, and Cases.
• Home daily. Route schedule will vary. CDL-A drivers will need to be available for overnight loads.
