Job summary

QXO in Mississippi is hiring truck drivers with Class A or B CDL to join our distribution team. You’ll perform touch-freight tasks, pre-inspect trucks, load materials, and verify loads while maintaining safety on site.

You’ll stay in contact with dispatch, set up job parameters, and follow DOT procedures, PPE rules, and weather-ready operations. We seek reliable, independent workers who can also collaborate as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE.
