Job summary

QXO is hiring for a CDL driver to join our team in Louisiana. You will perform touch-freight, inspect and load materials, and ensure safe loading/unloading on site.

This role requires alertness to hazards and ongoing communication with dispatch to meet delivery timelines. The ideal candidate has a valid CDL (A or B), at least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience, and comfort with heavy equipment and manual transmission trucks.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A or B CDL license.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, lifting, and carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site for safe loading/unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher for timely deliveries.
• Follow DOT and company safety procedures and wear PPE.

What You'll Do

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
