McLane Company, Inc. is hiring CDL-A Delivery Drivers to support our nationwide network from New York. You will drive, inspect, and deliver goods while maintaining DOT compliance and driver logs. Expect strong pay, daily home time, and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL-A).
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level for safety and task execution.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects before/after trips and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy for off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination and apply knowledge of regulations and vehicle handling.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations, documenting deliveries and temps.
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Benefits

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $78,000 to $95,000.
• Sign-on bonus: Up to $10,000 depending on experience.
• Pay Structure: Hourly, Miles, Stops, and Cases.
• Home daily. Route schedule will vary. CDL-A drivers will need to be available for overnight loads.

What you'll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.
