Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. in Colorado is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to move goods to customers, inspect loads, and comply with DOT regulations. You will maintain logs, stay safety-focused, and represent the company on the road.

Starting pay ranges from $75k to $85k per year with day-one benefits, vacation and sick leave, and opportunities for growth. Valid CDL-A, 1 year of tractor-trailer experience, and solid reading/writing in English required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English sufficiently for job tasks and safety communications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects and submit DOT inspection reports.
• Verify bill of lading and store keys for accuracy.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination following regulations and safe driving practices.
• Maintain driver logs according to DOT rules; document deliveries and exceptions.
• Unload trailers and deliver products to customer premises.

• Pay Rate: Range to start $75K to $85K per year.
• Dispatch 10pm Sunday - Friday.

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
