Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Truck Driver to join our team. This role offers home daily routes, a sign-on bonus, and competitive pay with extensive benefits.

You will operate tractor-trailers, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations while servicing customer locations. Candidates should have a valid CDL-A, at least 1 year (50,000 miles) of experience, and the ability to read and write English.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL license.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer experience.
• Ability to read/write English to perform tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT report.
• Verify bill of lading and store keys for accuracy.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destinations following regulations and maneuvering safely.
• Maintain driver logs per DOT requirements.
• Unload product at customer premises.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits you can count on:

• Pay Rate: Drivers make on average $107,500 ($51.68 per hour).
• Sign-on bonus: $10,000 for CDL A experience.
• HOME DAILY: Majority of routes are Team routes home daily, Solo routes two-days.

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
