Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking CDL-A delivery drivers to service local routes, with home daily schedules and a strong focus on safety and customer service. Drivers will operate tractor trailers or straight trucks to deliver food products to customers, while maintaining DOT compliance and professional interactions with customers and co-workers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and background check.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card on file or able to obtain.
• Able to lift 10-35 pounds, up to 90 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately.
• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations and inspects equipment for safety.
• Reports safety issues and necessary repairs.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Delivers customer orders according to route schedule and obtains signatures.
• Unloads products and assists with loading and securing freight as needed.
• Completes required paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Maintains daily hours of service records as required.
