Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a CDL-A Driver to transport and deliver food products across intrastate and interstate routes. You will be the face of the company, ensuring on-time deliveries in safe, well-maintained equipment.

The role requires DOT regulations knowledge, a clean MVR, and the ability to perform pre/post trip checks. Training and growth opportunities are available within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Attains or has valid DOT Health Card.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Performs required safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Delivers and unloads customer orders according to route schedule.
• Verifies delivery with customers and obtains signatures.
• Completes daily hours-of-service logs and related paperwork.
• Performs housekeeping and keeps equipment, docks and trailers clean.
