Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a CDL-A Driver in Abilene, TX to deliver and unload food products. The role requires compliance with DOT regulations, safety checks, and excellent customer interaction. Training occurs, with a 4-5 day week and multiple benefits beginning Day 1.

Compensation includes $80,000–$100,000 annually, a $10,000 sign-on bonus, and quarterly incentives. The position emphasizes reliability, English proficiency, and the ability to work Mon-Sat.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
• 6 months commercial driving experience.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meets PFG MVR requirements for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Meet PFG FMCSA Clearinghouse requirements.
• Pass road test.
• Able to secure a new DOT Medical Card.
• Able to lift and move freight up to 90 lbs throughout shift.
• Must be able to work the assigned schedule (Mon-Sat).
• English reading/writing proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor/trailer and trailer according to DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies; report hazards.
• Inspect trailer loads; verify invoices and complete required paperwork.
• Ensure secure loading/unloading; manage dock movements and end-of-shift procedures.
• Maintain daily logs and hours-of-service accuracy.
• Uphold safety standards during the delivery process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
