Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Truck Driver in Lafayette, LA. The role offers a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits, with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will deliver products to various client locations, maintain logs, and perform pre/post trip inspections. Ideal candidates are at least 21, hold a valid CDL-A, have 1 year of tractor-trailer experience, and can read/write English to perform tasks safely.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hours.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination following regulations and safety practices.
• Maintain driver logs per DOT regulations.
• Unload trailers and deliver products to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.
