Job summary

American Welding and Gas (AWG) is hiring a Class A CDL Delivery Driver in Indianapolis, IN to load, transport and deliver cylinders and cryogenic liquids to customers and branches. You will follow SOPs, maintain accurate paperwork, and comply with DOT/OSHA regulations while ensuring safety and proper vehicle maintenance.

The role requires hazardous materials endorsements and physical capability to lift and move heavy cylinders, along with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Class B CDL with HazMat, Tanker and Airbrakes endorsements.
• Clean driving record and ability to read/write English.
• Pre-employment requirements including drug screen and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move and store gas and liquid cylinders and cryogenic liquids.
• Deliver to customers and branches and complete delivery tickets accurately.
• Read, understand and follow SOPs; comply with DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain paperwork and trip-logs; ensure proper placarding and vehicle cleanliness.

American Welding and Gas, Inc. ("AWG") has an immediate opportunity for Class A CDL Delivery Driver in Indianapolis, IN. This position requires a Class B CDL with HazMat, Tanker & Airbrakes endorsements.

This position has the responsibility of loading, unloading, moving and storage of gas and liquid cylinders, CO2 and crynogenic liquids and other hard good supplies; making deliveries to customers or other branches and filling out delivery tickets completely and accurately.

Duties

• Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently
• Responsible for loading, unloading, and delivering CO2 and cryogenic liquids in transport tankers and/or cryogenic vessels
• Read, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations
• Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets
• Ensure vehicles are appropriately placarded and/or labeled
• Maintain electronic trip-logs
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Class B CDL Required with HazMat, Tanker & Airbrakes endorsements
• Clean driving record
• Able to read and write English
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Assessment and company administered road test
• Ability to communicate with customers Drug Free work environment.
