Job summary

American Welding & Gas, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Delivery Driver for our Columbia, SC location.

This role requires Hazmat, Tanker, and Airbrakes endorsements and involves delivering products and equipment to customers, picking up returns, and maintaining accurate shipping paperwork. Ideal candidates will have a clean driving record, 3+ years of experience, strong English reading/writing skills, and the ability to move heavy cylinders safely.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; Class A CDL required with Hazmat, Tanker & Airbrakes endorsements.
• Clean commercial driving record.
• 3+ years; read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products and equipment to customers in a safe, courteous manner.
• Pick up returns at customer locations.
• Follow SOPs and DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Move, load, and unload gas cylinders; handle 50–75 lb frequent lifts and 100+ lb cylinders.
• Ensure paperwork accuracy (shipping papers, delivery tickets).
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform other duties as assigned.

American Welding & Gas, Inc. - Has an immediate opportunity for a Class A CDL Delivery Driver at our Columbia, SC Location.

Duties:

• Use company vehicle to deliver products and equipment to customers in a safe and courteous manner.
• Pick up returns at customer place of business.
• Read, understand, and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
• Comply with all DOT + OSHA Regulations.
• Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently.
• Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets.
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent Class A CDL Required with Hazmat,Tanker & Airbrakes Endorsement
• Clean commercial driving record
• 3+ years Able to read and write English.
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and company administered road test.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers.
