Job summary

American Welding & Gas, Inc. is seeking a Class A/B CDL Delivery Driver in Indianapolis to load, transport, and deliver gas and cryogenic liquids to customers and branches. You will handle paperwork, follow SOPs, and maintain safety during loading/unloading of cylinders.

Qualifications include a High School diploma, clean driving record, English literacy, and HazMat/Tanker/Airbrakes endorsements. Great benefits and a company-supported CDL renewal program are offered.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Class B CDL required with HazMat, Tanker & Airbrakes endorsements.
• Clean driving record.
• Able to read and write English.
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Assessment and company administered road test.
• Ability to communicate with customers.
• Drug Free work environment.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move and store gas and liquid cylinders, CO2 and cryogenic liquids and other supplies.
• Deliver to customers or other branches and complete delivery tickets accurately.
• Move cylinders safely using appropriate equipment.
• Read, understand and follow SOPs; comply with DOT+OSHA regulations.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and complete electronic trip-logs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

American Welding and Gas, Inc. ("AWG") has an immediate opportunity for Class A CDL Delivery Driver in Indianapolis, IN. This position requires a Class B CDL with HazMat, Tanker & Airbrakes endorsements.

Duties

This position has the responsibility of loading, unloading, moving and storage of gas and liquid cylinders, CO2 and crynogenic liquids and other hard good supplies; making deliveries to customers or other branches and filling out delivery tickets completely and accurately. Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently Responsible for loading, unloading, and delivering CO2 and cryogenic liquids in transport tankers and/or cryogenic vessels Read, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets Ensure vehicles are appropriately placarded and/or labeled Maintain electronic trip-logs Maintains cleanliness of vehicle Performs other duties as assigned
